The head of the Russian mercenary group Yevgeny Prigozhin, is dead. The man, who also became known by the nickname “Putin’s cook,” is believed to have died in a plane crash yesterday, August 23, 2023. Also on the plane was the co-founder of the Wagner Group, Dmitry Utkin.

He has an explanation for the so far officially unexplained cause of the crash: “It was undoubtedly Putin. Prigozhin’s plane was shot down on his instructions. It was Putin’s revenge for the failed coup attempt two months ago.” The expert considers an accident very unlikely. “Accidents rarely happen in war.”
The Austrian political scientist Gerhard Mangott expressed a similar view to the German TV station n-tv.de. He speaks of a “targeted assassination maneuver.
At the moment, the ten bodies of the people who were on the plane are being examined. Since there was an explosion on board, they are burned and difficult or impossible to identify.
