Alarm in Russia: Ukraine attacks Moscow

Once again, the Russian capital Moscow becomes the target of a suspected Ukrainian drone attack. This reports the German news website n-tv.de with reference to data from the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, Moscow was fired upon by an “unmanned aerial vehicle.” Russian air defense said they destroyed the Ukrainian drone over the capital. “The drone changed its trajectory after being fired upon by air defenses and crashed into a (…) building in Moscow’s Krasnopresnenskaya district,” the Russian Defense Ministry says. According to the mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, there are no casualties. “The wreckage of the drone fell in the area of the exhibition center and caused no significant damage,” Moscow’s mayor wrote via Telegram. Russian news agency TASS reports that a wall of it building partially collapsed. Airspace over Moscow’s Vnukovo International Airport had to be briefly closed. Only in the past week, reports of such attacks on Moscow had accumulated. Thus, two drones on the Moscow business district have already been repelled.

This information comes from a party to the conflict and has not yet been independently verified and/or confirmed. For this reason, they are to be evaluated with reservations.
