Attack repelled: Russian border crossing failed

According to Ukraine, it has successfully repelled the invasion of Russian saboteurs into the northern Chernihiv oblast, as the German platform tagesschau.de reports.

The incident occurred in the Semenivka municipality, Minister of the Interior Ihor Klymenko announced via the short message service Telegram. Four armed people tried to cross the border, but were repelled by Ukrainian shelling, the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Serhiy Nayev, said. Additional units of the Border Guard and the Armed Forces will be deployed to strengthen border surveillance. In view of the arrival of Russian mercenary leader Yevgeny Prigozhin in neighboring Belarus, Ukraine has already strengthened its northern military section as it borders Belarus.

According to its own information, Ukraine has reached an agreement with Croatia to export its grain through ports on the Adriatic Sea, as the German news website ZDF announced. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kyiv announces that the agricultural goods will be shipped to Croatia via the Danube. Then the cargo will be transported by rail to the Adriatic coast.

The exact export quantities were not disclosed. With this agreement, Ukraine wants to circumvent the blockade by Russia in the Black Sea, after Moscow in mid-July canceled the agreement on the shipment of the grain mediated by the United Nations and Turkey.
