“Attention, Finland!”: Russian Television Threatens with Invasion

A prominent proponent of propaganda for Russian President Vladimir Putin is TV host Tigran Edmondovich Keossayan.

As the husband of 42-year-old Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Russian foreign broadcaster RT, he disseminates the Russian president’s propaganda in his talk show. Anton Gerashchenko has now published a video on the platform X, in which Keossayan threatens Finland: “Joining NATO seems to have turned the heads of the enthusiastic Finns. Dear Finns, first you banned us from entering by car. Now with bicycles. You leave us no other choice.” He shows a video of a tank apparently heading towards the Finnish border.

Gerashchenko writes: “Attention, Finland! Russian propagandist Keossayan (Simonyan’s husband) threatens to drive to Finland with tanks due to the situation.”

In war, it can be advantageous for conflicting parties to deliberately spread false information to strengthen their own position or weaken the enemy’s. Therefore, such information should be considered with caution.
