Russian Military Captures Territories Near Avdiivka as Ukrainian Troops Resist in Intense Battles.
On November 25, Russian troops continued their operations near Avdiivka, making confirmed advances according to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW). Geolocated videos from November 24 suggest that Russian forces moved north of Krasnohorivka, a settlement 4.3 miles (about 7 kilometers) northwest of Avdiivka.
Uncertain Situation in Avdiivka’s Industrial Area
Several Russian military bloggers have shared footage, as per ISW, showing the withdrawal of some Ukrainian troops from positions in the industrial area on the southern flank of Avdiivka. However, another military blogger claimed that Russian forces had not yet fully conquered the industrial area.
The Ukrainian military has reported, according to ISW, that they have repelled Russian ground attacks east and south of Novokalynove, as well as near Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, Sieverne, and Pervomaiske, all within a 9.3-mile (15-kilometer) radius of Avdiivka.
