According to the governor of the region, the Russian air defense shot down a drone over the Russian Oblast of Belgorod, as reported by the German news website n-tv.de.
The falling debris injured two people, while, according to Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, two others might potentially be trapped under the rubble. A house caught fire, and rescue teams are on the scene. Two more individuals are in serious condition in the hospital, and a child might still be trapped in the debris. Two additional buildings were damaged. The governor did not mention Ukraine.
Recently, the Ukrainian army has been increasing drone and missile attacks on targets in southern Russia and the Crimea, annexed by Russia.
These claims have not yet been independently verified and/or confirmed. For this reason, they should be treated with caution. In war, it can be advantageous for warring parties to deliberately spread false information to strengthen their own position or weaken that of the opponent.
