British Ministry of Defense: Heavy fighting continues in Kherson oblast

The UK Ministry of Defense, in its daily update on the Platform X, formerly Twitter, announced that fighting continued around the islands in Dnipro in Kherson oblast, which is currently the front line.

The British said both sides launched attacks with crews in small boats against the islands and opposite riverbanks. “There is a realistic possibility that Russian operations in the area have intensified since the sector came under the jurisdiction of the newly created 40th Army Corps,” the British Ministry of Defense said. It further reported that the number of fighters involved was relatively small compared to other fronts, however, “both sides regard the area as strategically important.” There could also be the possibility of units being pulled from the intense fighting in Zaporizhzhya and Donetsk oblasts.
