British Ministry of Defense: Russia has success with “foreign agents”

According to British experts, Russia has succeeded in stigmatizing critics, media, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) as “foreign agents” through its tactics. This was reported by the German news website n-tv.de.

“The measures significantly restrict the information space within Russia,” the British Ministry of Defense states. “This makes it increasingly difficult to represent a viewpoint that deviates from the official line, including differing opinions on the war.”

Citing a recently published survey by the state-owned Russian opinion research institute WZIOM, it is reported in London that this tactic is resonating within the population. According to the survey, 61 percent of respondents view “foreign agents” as “traitors” spreading lies about Russia.
