Dark clouds of smoke over Moscow: large fire broke out near railroad station

Once again there is said to have been a fire in Moscow. This is reported by Jason Jay Smart, correspondent of the Kyiv Post. Via the Network X, formerly Twitter, he shares a video purporting to show the fire and writes:

“Large fire near a Moscow railroad station. Local news reports that the fire was caused by burning garbage. The alternative theory is that it’s Monday in Russia: and what’s a Monday in Russia – without a large, uncontrolled fire in a major city?”

At the same time, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin says that on Tuesday morning Russian authorities shot down three drones in the west of the country. The drones had attempted to “attack Moscow,” citing the German news website fr.de with reference to a corresponding Telegram post of the Moscow mayor. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties. The Russian Defense Ministry says that the drones were shot down southwest of Moscow, northwest of the capital over the Istrinsky district and northwest of Moscow in the Tver region.
