Drone attack: blackout in Russia

According to statements from Governor Roman Starovoyt, a drone attack was carried out on the night of October 5, affecting infrastructure facilities in the Russian region of Kursk.

The governor reported that the drones targeted facilities in the Sudzha, Korenevsky, and Glushkovsky districts, resulting in power outages. No further injuries were reported, as per The Kyiv Independent. Starovoyt informed that rescue teams are on site, and power supply has been partially restored.

In recent weeks, there have been increased reports of drone attacks in the Kursk Oblast and other regions bordering Ukraine. The Ukrainian government rarely comments on these reports.

These statements come from a party involved in the conflict and have not been independently verified or confirmed. Therefore, they should be considered with reservation. In times of war, it can be advantageous for parties involved in the conflict to deliberately spread misinformation to strengthen their own position or weaken that of the opponent.
