Drones Swarm Bryansk Skies: Russia’s Air Defense Launches Massive Response

Drone alert in Bryansk and Belgorod: Governors report shootings and civilian casualties. What’s behind it?

According to The Kyiv Independent the governor of Bryansk oblast, Alexander Bogomaz, reported on Telegram that a drone was shot down by Russian air defense on August 26 in Bryansk region. The drone was reportedly brought down over the district of Trubchevsk without causing any injuries.

A parallel incident was reported in the Belgorod region, where Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov stated that a drone had been shot down near the town of Belgorod. The Kyiv Independent further quotes Gladkov as claiming that a Ukrainian drone later attacked the village of Shchetinovka, killing one civilian.

Furthermore reports ntv from an announcement by the Russian Defense Ministry about a second drone downing. In addition to the Bryansk incident, another drone had been repelled in the Kursk region. This region borders northeastern Ukraine. The ministry’s information cannot be independently confirmed, stresses The Kyiv Independent.
