Heavy blow: Ukraine inflicts ‘enormous damage’ on Russian attackers

Ukraine claims to have inflicted “enormous damage” on Russian attackers, as reported by Sarah Ashton-Cirillo, former spokesperson for the Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine, via Network X, formerly Twitter.

In the corresponding post, she writes, “Towards Melitopol, the Ukrainian defense forces are inflicting enormous damage on the Russian attackers, including the elimination of enemy troops and the destruction of the Kremlin’s war equipment.” Ashton-Cirillo does not provide details on the extent of the damage.

Ashton-Cirillo was appointed as the spokesperson for Ukrainian troops in August. She had to step down just a few weeks later due to threats of violence addressed to an unnamed “Kremlin propagandist.” Ashton-Cirillo then promised that the world would witness a “Kremlin propagandist pay for his crimes,” stating it would only be the “beginning”.

These statements have not yet been verified and/or confirmed by an independent party. Therefore, they should be considered with caution. In war, it can be advantageous for conflicting parties to deliberately spread misinformation to strengthen their own position or weaken the opponent’s.
