Heavy explosions: Ukraine attacks chemical plant in Russia

Ukraine has attacked a chemical plant. This is reported by the media project NEXTA on the short message service X, formerly known as Twitter.

In the corresponding post NEXTA writes: “Ukrainian forces attacked a chemical plant in Tver (Russian city, located on the St. Petersburg-Moscow railroad line, editor’s note). The Redkinsky cheny plant in the Konakovsky district was targeted by a drone. Residents heard strong explosions. Russian media traditionally claim that the drone was shot down – only debris fell on the plant’s premises. There were no casualties. The Redkinsky Technical Center manufactures chemical products for the aerospace industry.”

This information has not yet been verified / confirmed. For this reason, the report is to be evaluated with reservations. In war, it can be advantageous for parties to make false statements about the course of the conflict in order to strengthen their own position or to weaken the position of the opponent.
