A strong explosion is reported to have occurred in Russia. Specifically, the incident occurred in Sergiyev Possad, a major Russian city with a population of over 100,000 in the Moscow Oblast. This is reported by the Twitter account Ukrainian Front.
The account posts a video purporting to show the aftermath of the explosion: In the middle of a city, a gray, cylindrical cloud of smoke rises dozens of meters into the sky. Ukrainian Front writes about it: “A powerful explosion in Moscow oblast. It occurred at the Zagorsk Optical-Mechanical Plant in Sergiyev Possad. The company manufactures observation equipment, medical equipment, laboratory equipment, dosimetric equipment and technical safety equipment.”
In the recent past, there have been repeated attacks around Moscow – especially with drones. As far as this attack is concerned, there is still too little information available. As they have not yet been verified and/or confirmed by an independent party, they are to be assessed with reservations.
