In just 24 hours: Russia loses over 500 soldiers

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has said in its latest update that Russia has already lost 253,290 soldiers since the war of aggression in Ukraine began in February 2022.

Like The Kyiv Independent reports, this figure also includes the losses of the past 24 hours. Russian forces have lost 510 soldiers since yesterday. According to the report, Russia has also lost 4,295 tanks, 8,324 armored combat vehicles, 7,523 vehicles and fuel tanks, 5,053 artillery systems, 713 multiple rocket systems, 472 air defense systems, 315 aircraft, 313 helicopters, 4,201 drones and 18 boats.

More news on the Ukraine conflict:

Like The Kyiv Independent reported with reference to Bloomberg, Russia’s crude oil has exceeded the price ceiling set by the G7. This leads to a significant increase in revenue from oil exports. The G7 countries had introduced this cap to limit Moscow’s funds for its war against Ukraine. Under the cap system, companies are only allowed to transport Russian oil if their payment falls below the threshold price. Otherwise, they lose access to certain G7 services. Those sanctions and caps, following the February 2022 invasion of Ukraine, have prompted the Kremlin to look primarily to buyers from India and China. “Any money Russia spends to create an ecosystem outside of the price cap deprives it of resources to fund its barbaric war,” said Megan Apper, spokeswoman for the U.S. Treasury Department.
