In just a few hours: Putin loses hundreds of soldiers

Russia and its President Vladimir Putin are reported to have lost hundreds of soldiers in just a few hours. This reports The Kyiv Independent referring to the morning update of the Ukrainian General Staff (as of August 8, 2023).

According to the report, Russia has lost 560 of its soldiers within the last 24 hours. According to the Ukrainian account, Russian losses since the beginning of the war of aggression in violation of international law at the end of February 2022 thus total 250,800 soldiers. In addition, another 4,254 tanks, 8,278 armored / armed vehicles 7,460 vehicles and tankers, 4,996 artillery systems, 709 multiple rocket launchers, 468 air defense systems, 315 aircraft, 312 helicopters, 4,158 drones and 18 boats.

This information comes from a party to the conflict and has not yet been independently verified and/or confirmed. For this reason, they are to be evaluated with reservations. It may be advantageous for warring parties to disseminate false information in order to strengthen their own position or to weaken that of the enemy.
