Kremlin takes a stance: Heart problems with Putin

Speculation has been rife for months about Putin’s health. A recent report that the Russian president had heart problems made headlines. Now, the Kremlin has responded, as reported by merkur.de.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov emphasized, “Everything is fine with him. This is, as usual, a hoax.” Peskov referred to the particular report, labeling it as false Western media reporting.

In relation to the alleged health problems of Putin, there had also been speculation that he employed a double for public appearances. Peskov also denied this claim. “I can say there is no double.”

The topic could be crucial for the upcoming presidential election, which is supposed to take place in 2024. There is no exact date yet, and Putin has not officially announced his candidacy. However, it is expected that Putin will run again. When asked about the date of the elections, Peskov replied that it had not been determined. “But they are approaching and will definitely take place.”
