“Lord of the Horizon”: World’s Best Sniper Now Fights for Ukraine

A sniper from the Ukrainian Security Service SBU has set a new grim world record. He shot a Russian soldier at a distance of 3.8 kilometers.

This was reported by the German news website merkur.de, referring to a press release from the SBU. “The SBU sniper has set a new world record,” said the Ukrainian Security Service. The distance was “incredible.” The man used the rifle “Volodar Obriyu,” which translates to “Lord of the Horizon.” It is a joint production of a Ukrainian arms manufacturer with the USA and Great Britain.

The previous record holder was a soldier of the Canadian Special Forces. He allegedly shot a member of the Taliban in Iraq at a distance of 3,540 meters.

These claims have not yet been independently verified and/or confirmed. For this reason, they should be considered with caution. In war, it can be advantageous for conflicting parties to deliberately spread false information to strengthen their position or weaken the enemy’s.
