Moscow: 1000 square meters on fire

It would be the fourth attack on the Russian capital within a week: again it is reported that drones were sent towards Moscow.

According to Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, the Russian capital Moscow was once again the target of a drone attack. This reports the German news website tagesschau.de. Two drones were shot down by anti-aircraft fire at about 4:00 a.m., Sobyanin said via Telegram. In response, the two Moscow airports Vnukovo and Domodedovo temporarily stopped all air traffic.

At the same time, a nighttime fire covering an area of 1,000 square meters was reported from Domodedovo, a city about 37 kilometers south of Moscow. Whether there is a connection to the drone incident initially remained unclear.

In the period from late July to early August, the Russian capital faced two enemy drone attacks within three days. According to Russian statements, several drones were shot down. Nevertheless, the facade of a glass colossus was also hit. The city of over a million inhabitants has been the target of repeated drone attacks before.
