Near Moscow: Ukrainian Politician Killed by Own Intelligence Service

According to reports by Russian news agencies, a former Ukrainian politician was found dead near Moscow, as reported by the German news website n-tv.de.

Ilya Kiva, previously a deputy in the Ukrainian parliament and a member of the pro-Russian opposition, lost his seat a few weeks after the start of the Russian military offensive. Subsequently, he moved to Russia and collaborated with Russian war propagandists. The Ukrainian domestic intelligence service, SBU, claims responsibility for Kiva’s death.

These claims have not yet been independently verified and/or confirmed. Therefore, they should be treated with caution. In war, it can be advantageous for conflicting parties to deliberately spread misinformation to strengthen their own position or weaken the opponent’s.
