Night attack goes awry: Putin’s plan is thwarted

During the night, numerous Russian drone attacks were repelled in the south of Ukraine. This is reported by the German news website n-tv.de, citing Ukrainian sources.

27 out of 36 attack drones were reportedly shot down by the Ukrainian Air Force in the regions of Odessa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson. Nearly every night, Moscow attacks various areas of Ukraine with drones and missiles. The ports, which are responsible for the export of grain in southern Ukraine, are particularly targeted.

Since July 17, 2023, Moscow has allowed the grain agreement to expire, as reported by the German news platform Deutschlandfunk. Both Ukraine and Russia are among the world’s largest grain producers. The agreement had enabled the two countries to export wheat and corn via the Black Sea.
