Norway, Japan & Denmark: Russian Bombers Enter Airspace

In recent weeks, there have been repeated air incidents between NATO and Russia, as reported by The Kyiv Independent.

On November 16, an incident occurred when Russian aircraft, including two Tu-60 bombers, two MiG-31 jets, and two Il-78 refueling aircraft, approached NATO airspace. The Royal Norwegian Armed Forces dispatched F-35 fighter jets in response. The Russian aircraft returned to their country shortly after the encounter.

In August, the Danish Air Force intercepted Russian bombers heading towards Dutch airspace, according to the Dutch Air Force. Russian aircraft frequently approach or violate European airspace.

On October 31, the Japanese Ministry of Defense reported that a Russian helicopter violated Japanese airspace, prompting the Air Force to respond with fighter jets.
