Pillar of Fire: “Massive Strike” Against Russian Ammunition Depots and Aircraft

In a Ukrainian border region close to Russia, there appears to have been an explosion. This was reported by Igor Sushko on the short message service X, formerly known as Twitter.

He writes: “Massive strike on military targets in the occupied Siedove in Ukraine, right on the border with Russia. Directly east of the occupied Mariupol. Reports indicate that both Russian ammunition depots and aircraft were hit.” He does not provide detailed information on the author of the attack or the specific damages. An attached video shows an explosion that can be seen and heard, followed by flames rising into the air like a pillar.

These claims have not yet been independently verified and/or confirmed. For this reason, they should be considered with caution. In war, it can be advantageous for conflicting parties to deliberately spread false information in order to strengthen their own position or to weaken that of the opponent.
