Project “Sea Baby”: Russia Wants to Build Ukrainian Warship

According to Ukrainska Pravda, Russia is allegedly attempting to replicate the Ukrainian self-developed “Sea Baby,” as reported by the German news website n-tv.de.

This refers to an unmanned surface vessel loaded with explosives that targets its objectives like a kamikaze drone. It is claimed that “Sea Babies” have already been used in attacks on the Crimea bridge and Russian ships. Reportedly, the Russians have managed to assemble a “relatively functional” model from the remains of several “Sea Babies.” Currently, this model is undergoing thorough examination and reprogramming.

Kyiv officially presented unmanned swimming drones for the first time last year, after only images of a drone that washed ashore near Sevastopol had appeared. With each new deployment, the precision of the Ukrainian combat and marine drones reportedly improves, the operating personnel gain experience, and the coordination of combat operations becomes more effective. This allows manufacturers to further optimize the tactical and technical characteristics, as reported by the German news platform n-tv.de.
