Putin loses more and more commanders: Russian general killed

Russia is reported to have lost another of its generals, according to Jason Jay Smart, a correspondent for the Kyiv Post, on the short messaging service X, formerly known as Twitter.

In the relevant post, Smart writes: “Reports are saying that Russian Army General Zavadsky was blown up by a landmine.” Smart does not provide details on the exact circumstances of the incident.

The X-channel Noelreports writes: “Preliminary information suggests that Russian Major General Vladimir Vasilievich Zavadsky, (former) commander of the Taman Division and deputy of the 14th Army Corps, was killed, allegedly by a mine that exploded today. This has yet to be confirmed.”

These claims have not yet been independently verified or confirmed. Therefore, they should be considered with caution. In war, it can be advantageous for conflicting parties to deliberately spread false information to strengthen their own position or weaken that of the enemy.
