Putin pays high price: Ukraine “eliminates” hundreds of Russian soldiers

Ukraine says it has taken out hundreds of Russian soldiers in a matter of hours. This reports The Kyiv Independent referring to the morning update of the Ukrainian General Staff.

Specifically, Ukraine says it has killed 480 Russian soldiers within the last 24 hours. This brings Russian losses to a total of 258,820 soldiers since the escalation of the war of aggression against international law began in February 2022. This is in addition to further military equipment from Russia. Ukraine states that Moscow has lost 4,373 tanks, 8,488 armed/armored vehicles, 7,745 vehicles and tankers, 5,318 artillery systems, 722 multiple rocket launchers, 491 air defense systems, 315 aircraft, 316 helicopters, 4,324 drones, and 18 boats. Ukraine is reticent to provide information on its own losses.

This information comes from a party to the conflict and has not yet been independently verified / confirmed. For this reason, the report must be evaluated with reservations. In war, it can be advantageous for parties to make false statements about the course of the conflict in order to strengthen their own position or weaken the position of the opponent.
