Putin’s tactics fail: Russian combat drones destroyed

According to the Ukrainian data, the air defense successfully repelled an attack of Russian combat drones on the Khmelnytskyi area in the west of the country during the night.

The Air Force announced that all 17 Russian-made Iranian drones that had been deployed had been shot down as the German news website n-tv.de reported. According to the message, the drones took off from the Russian coast of the Sea of Azov and then flew on different routes to western Ukraine. Due to this, air alerts were sounded in many Ukrainian areas during the night. There was initially no information about damage caused by falling missile parts. Near the town of Starokostyantyniv in the Khmelnytskyi region is an important base of the Ukrainian Air Force, which has already been attacked by Russia several times.

This information has not yet been verified/confirmed by an independent source. For this reason, the report should be evaluated with reservations. In war, it can be advantageous for parties to make false statements about the course of the conflict in order to strengthen their own position or weaken the position of the opponent.
