Risky tactics: Kremlin relies on “fragmentation” of the West

According to the Kremlin, in its war of aggression against Ukraine, Russia is counting on the country’s support in the West to wane due to increasing fatigue. This reports the German news website n-tv.de.

“We have repeatedly said before that, according to our forecasts, there will be fatigue in this conflict, growing fatigue in various countries from this completely absurd sponsorship of the Kiev regime, including in the United States,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, according to the Russian state news agency TASS. “This fatigue will lead to a fragmentation of the political leadership and growth of contradictions,” Peskov said.

This information comes from a party to the conflict and has not yet been independently verified and/or confirmed. For this reason, they are to be evaluated with reservations. In war, it can be advantageous for parties to the conflict to deliberately disseminate false information in order to strengthen their own position or to weaken that of the opponent.
