Russia on alert: drone attack in Belgorod

According to Russian data, Russia has successfully repelled a drone attack from Ukraine over the Belgorod region on the border with Ukraine.

According to reports by the RIA news agency, the Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that its forces successfully thwarted a Ukrainian drone attack on Russian territory this morning. This was announced by the German news website n-tv.de.

At the same time The Kyiv Independent reports of Russian attacks in four Ukrainian oblasts. According to the information provided by regional authorities, four civilians were killed and 17 injured in Russian attacks in four Ukrainian oblasts within the last 24 hours. On August 17, a total of nine Ukrainian oblasts were targeted by attacks – Kherson, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Sumy, Luhansk, Mykolaiv and Chernihiv. No casualties were reported from the last five regions mentioned.
