Russian drone crashed in NATO country

A combat drone has once again crashed in Romania near the border with Ukraine, as reported by the German news website n-tv.de.

The Defense Ministry in Bucharest announced that a drone crater was discovered about three kilometers west of the village of Plauru in an uninhabited area, possibly caused by an explosion. The nearby Ukrainian Danube ports were heavily attacked again by the Russian army on the night from Wednesday to Thursday. This marks the fourth incident of this kind in Romania. Plauru is located on the Chilia branch of the Danube, which marks the border with Ukraine and is directly opposite the Ukrainian port of Izmail, less than 500 meters away.

Moscow recently terminated an agreement that allowed Ukraine to export grain via the Black Sea. Since then, Kyiv has been making increased efforts to ship grain via its own Danube ports and neighboring EU member country Romania, as reported by the German news website tagesschau.de.
