Russian resistance fighters mobilize against Putin: “Here we are!”

The Russian resistance fighters “Liberty of Russia” Legion sees themselves as the counterpart to Russian President Vladimir Putin and his war of aggression against Ukraine. They are making their voice heard again via the network X, formerly Twitter.

“Here we are!” the group writes in a post. “The combat drones have arrived and are ready to ‘fly’ into combat missions. With your help, we have raised $17,000 and were able to purchase FPV drones, a ground control station, and additional equipment for the missions of the Strike Drone Platoon of the 1st Mechanized Battalion. You have already seen the work of these drones in the Belgorod region a few days ago, and now we publicly thank everyone who contributes to bringing us closer to a joint victory!”

These statements have not yet been verified and/or confirmed by an independent party. Therefore, they should be considered with caution. In war, it can be advantageous for conflicting parties to deliberately spread misinformation to strengthen their own position or weaken the opponent’s.
