Severe missile attack: Crimea under fire

According to their own statements, the Ukrainian army carried out a missile attack on Russian troops in the city of Dzhankoy in the northern part of Crimea last Saturday.

According to Andriy Yussow, the spokesman for the Ukrainian military intelligence, there were casualties among the Russian soldiers. “All details are still being investigated and verified,” he adds, according to the German news platform n-tv.de. On Saturday evening, the Defense Ministry in Moscow reported that Russian air defense forces had intercepted two Ukrainian S-200 missiles in Crimea.

These statements have not yet been verified and/or confirmed by an independent party. Therefore, they should be considered with caution. In war, it can be advantageous for conflicting parties to deliberately spread misinformation to strengthen their own position or weaken the opponent’s.
