Severe setback: Russia loses nearly 1,000 soldiers and top weapon systems

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on November 2 that since the start of its comprehensive invasion on February 24, 2022, Russia has lost 302,420 soldiers in Ukraine. This was reported by The Kyiv Independent via X (formerly Twitter).

This number includes 930 Russian military casualties in the last 24 hours alone. In addition, 18 tanks, 43 armored personnel carriers (APVs), 3 air defense systems (AD), and 2 cruise missiles were destroyed within a day.

According to the report, Russia has lost a total of 5,241 tanks, 9,877 armored combat vehicles, 9,658 vehicles and fuel tanks, 7,292 artillery systems, 850 multiple rocket launcher systems, 566 air defense systems, 322 aircraft, 324 helicopters, 5,488 drones, 20 ships and boats, and one submarine.

These figures have not yet been independently verified and/or confirmed. Therefore, they should be viewed with caution. In war, it can be advantageous for conflicting parties to deliberately spread misinformation to strengthen their own position or weaken that of the opponent.
