“Severely Weakened”: Putin Will Not Survive Ukrainians

According to the U.S. government’s assessment, the Russian military is significantly weakened. There is a lack not only of commanders but also of experienced soldiers, as reported by the German news website merkur.de.

The Russian military has been “severely weakened” by the war in Ukraine, said U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Saturday during a speech at the Reagan National Defense Forum. “Despite his isolation,” Austin stated, “Putin believes he can outlast the Ukrainians. But he is wrong.”

Austin further explained that the U.S. and its partners have “worked to get many important weapon systems, including HIMARS, Patriots, Abrams tanks, and more – into the hands of trained Ukrainian operators.”

It is expected that the upcoming winter will further deplete the already strained resources of the Russian military.

These claims have not yet been independently verified and/or confirmed. Therefore, they should be considered with caution. In war, it can be advantageous for conflicting parties to deliberately spread false information to strengthen their own position or weaken that of the opponent.
