“Shaheds” Attack on Ukraine – But Putin’s Plan Ends Catastrophically

According to their own statements, the Ukrainian armed forces successfully shot down 18 out of a total of 25 Russian combat drones of the Shahed type, as well as one of the two Kh-59 cruise missiles last night. This was reported by the German news website n-tv.de.

The drones reportedly launched from Cape Chauda on the occupied Crimea and from Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Russian region of Krasnodar. The missiles, in turn, were fired by aircraft operating over the occupied Kherson Oblast, according to the report. The main direction of the attack extended to the south and east of Ukraine, as reported by the Air Force. The air defense was reportedly active in the Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

These claims have not yet been independently verified and/or confirmed. Therefore, they should be considered with caution. In warfare, it can be advantageous for conflict parties to deliberately spread misinformation to strengthen their own position or weaken the opponent’s.
