Soldiers Advance: Ukraine “Blows Up Russian Ammunition Depots”

According to Ukraine, on October 9th, “partial successes” were achieved west of the village of Verbove at the front. This is reported by the German news website fr.de, citing Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, the commander of the operational and strategic group of the Tavriia forces, and an article from Ukrainska Pravda.

“The Ukrainian defense forces continue their offensive operations at the Melitopol front. We have achieved partial successes west of Verbove,” he is quoted.

Accordingly, Russian forces have conducted eight air strikes and engaged in 18 battles with Ukrainian troops. Ukrainian soldiers claim to have destroyed six Russian military units, including two tanks, three armored combat vehicles, and an artillery system. It is also reported that they “blew up three Russian ammunition depots.”

These claims have not yet been independently verified and/or confirmed. Therefore, they should be considered with caution. In war, it can be advantageous for conflicting parties to deliberately spread false information to strengthen their own position or weaken the opponent’s.
