“They could have just stayed home”: 300,000 Russian soldiers “eliminated”

Even over a year and a half after the escalation of the Russian invasion in February 2022, the fighting in Ukraine continues. According to Ukraine, Russia’s losses now number in the hundreds of thousands.

300,000 – that’s the number posted by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense on a black background on the X platform on October 31st. The post states, “300,000 Russian occupiers have been eliminated. They could have simply stayed home.”

Especially in recent days and weeks, the Russian losses reported by Ukraine have sharply increased, primarily due to intense fighting around Avdiivka, a small town in the Donetsk Oblast.

These figures have not yet been independently verified and/or confirmed. For this reason, they should be regarded with caution. In war, it can be advantageous for parties involved in the conflict to deliberately spread misinformation in order to strengthen their own position or weaken that of their opponent.
