According to Russian reports, Ukraine apparently tried to attack a nuclear power plant in the Kursk border region of Russia using drones.
The operator of the facility announced that on Thursday evening an attack by “three hostile” drones took place on the Kursk nuclear power plant, but without any impact on the operation of the plant. The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the incident, but did not specifically mention that the attack targeted the nuclear power plant, as reported by the German news website n-tv.de.
These claims have not yet been verified and/or confirmed by independent sources. For this reason, they should be treated with caution. In war, it can be advantageous for parties to the conflict to deliberately spread false information to strengthen their own position or weaken that of the opponent.
