Ukraine achieves partial success south of Staromaiorske

Ukrainian troops have achieved a partial success in the direction of Urozhaine, south and southeast of the village of Staromaiorske in Donetsk region.

This was reported by Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar, according to the The Kyiv Independent. “Despite extremely difficult fighting conditions and enemy resistance, our troops have achieved a partial success in the direction of Uroshaine, south and southeast of Staromaiorske,” Maliar said on her Telegram channel. The village in the southwestern part of Donetsk oblast was liberated by Ukrainian troops on July 27. Russian forces unsuccessfully tried to retake their positions near the village of Staromaiorske in early August. This was announced by the Ukrainian General Staff. According to the latest report by Maliar, Russia has also made unsuccessful attacks near Klishchivka, as well as in the directions of Avdiivka and Marinka, where Ukrainian defenses are “impregnable.” According to further reports, Ukraine is holding back Russian offensive operations in the direction of Lyman and Kupiansk. Russian forces recently began concentrating significant forces there. Maliar reported that offensive operations are being conducted toward Melitopol and Berdiansk on the southern front line.
