According to statements from Kyiv, the anti-tank unit of the Ukrainian 66th Mechanized Brigade destroyed 25 Russian tanks near the city of Lyman in the Donetsk Oblast within four days.
Ukrainian forces reportedly shared on Facebook, “The Russians have concentrated too many tanks in this area. As a result, the brigade’s anti-tank unit destroyed almost an entire tank battalion in their area of responsibility within just a few days,” military expert Ivan Kyrychevsky explained on Ukrainian radio station NV, as reported by the German news website n-tv.de.
These claims come from one party involved in the conflict and have not yet been verified and/or confirmed by an independent source. Therefore, they should be considered with caution. In war, it can be advantageous for conflicting parties to deliberately spread misinformation to strengthen their own position or weaken the opponent’s.
