According to Ukrainian data, Russia has forcibly mobilized 55,000 to 60,000 men in the occupied territories of Ukraine since the beginning of 2022. A Ukrainian intelligence official was quoted accordingly by the Ukrainian state news agency Ukrinform: “The occupiers captured people on the streets, they came to the few factories that were still in operation and took people by force – they simply changed their clothes and sent them to the front. They promised that they would be in the second or third line, but people ended up in the first line.”
