Ukraine launches attack on Crimea – Russia responds with military action

According to RIA, the Russian news agency, a total of 16 Ukrainian drones were shot down last night, as reported by the Russian Defense Ministry. This is reported by the German news website n-tv.de.

The Russian missile defense systems successfully neutralized 13 drones over Crimea and three more over the Volgograd region in the early morning hours.

On Thursday, renewed Russian shelling in the south and east of Ukraine claimed several lives. From the village of Chornobaivka in the Kherson region, the regional military administration reports three fatalities and at least five injured. Administration head Olexander Prokudin announces that the attack was carried out with cluster bombs. Additionally, two children were injured in another attack. In the eastern Ukrainian region of Donetsk, two civilians were killed and one more was injured by artillery fire, according to authorities. Another injury is reported from the adjacent Kharkiv region. According to Ukrainian military sources, more than 110 locations along the front line and the Russian border were shelled within a day.

These claims have not yet been independently verified and/or confirmed. Therefore, they should be considered with caution. In war, it can be advantageous for conflicting parties to deliberately spread false information to strengthen their own position or weaken the opponent’s.
