Ukraine: No weapons from the West in Russia

Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba has assured that Ukraine will not use weapons supplied by Western allies on Russian territory.

“If our partners ask us to give a guarantee that this or that weapon will be used only on the territory of Ukraine, we give that guarantee and keep it,” Kuleba said during an interview with the AFP news agency today. He stressed that Kyiv had already made and kept such commitments on several occasions, as the German news website tagesschau.de reported.

The debate about a possible delivery of Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine has triggered discussions on this issue, especially in Germany. According to reports, the German Chancellery, for example, is pushing for a reduction in the range of the missiles in order to minimize the risk of Ukrainian attacks on targets in Russia.
