Ukraine succeeds near Dnipro: Russia withdraws

Ukraine is apparently making progress in expanding its bridgeheads on the left side of the Dnipro River. This is reported by German news website t-online.de, citing the Kyiv Post.

After several soldiers have been entrenched there for weeks, it has now also been possible to bring an armored vehicle across the river for the first time. As proof, the Kyiv Post refers to satellite images. They are said to show a BTR-4 armored personnel carrier with an amphibious vehicle, which have been brought to the largely Russian-controlled border. According to the Institute for the Study of War, Russian sources report that Ukraine has already moved further armored vehicles to the east bank of the Dnipro. Just a few days ago, Ukraine succeeded in transferring Ukrainian soldiers across and attacking the headquarters of the Russian Dnipro troops.

These claims have not yet been independently reviewed and/or confirmed. For this reason, they should be regarded with caution. In war, it can be advantageous for conflicting parties to deliberately spread false information to strengthen their own position or to weaken that of the opponent.
