Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that domestic weapons production and extensive digitalization efforts will be prioritized in the future.
“The Minister for Strategic Industries has already presented me reports on several areas: tanks, missiles, and ATGMs. Today, the Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation presented a report on electronic warfare at the staff meeting. We are developing a comprehensive program for all these areas with clear time frames and quantity specifications,” said the Ukrainian president, as reported by The Kyiv Independent. This announcement coincides with the uncertainty over further US support for Ukraine.
Digitization to Combat corruption
Zelensky emphasized that the digitalization of Ukraine will help combat the widespread corruption in the government and military. “Digitalization will give us a clear overview of how our warriors are being provided for and where deficits are occurring and how they are being addressed. This is crucial so that we can present timely information to each of our partners about every delivered weapons unit. It’s important that the reports here in Kyiv match the actual conditions at the front.”
