Ukrainian Attack on Russian City Fails

According to its own statements, Russia successfully repelled several drone attacks from Ukraine over its territory and Crimea on the night of Thursday. This was reported by the German news website n-tv.de.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that a total of five unmanned aircraft were shot down by Russian air defense over the western Russian region of Bryansk and off the annexed Crimean Peninsula in the Black Sea.

On the other hand, Ukraine reports Russian attacks on four communities in the Sumy region. The military administration of Sumy stated that a civilian was injured in the attacks. The injured person is a resident of the settlement of Seredyna-Buda, who was hit during a mortar attack. The communities of Yunakivska, Krasnopillia, and Khotyn were also subjected to shelling. According to the administration, 46 explosions were recorded throughout the day. The reports suggest that the Russian forces used, among other things, grenades and drones.

These statements have not yet been verified or confirmed by independent sources. Therefore, they should be considered with caution. In war, it can be advantageous for conflict parties to deliberately spread false information to strengthen their own position or weaken that of the opponent.
