“Was a little sad”: heavy blow to Putin’s Black Sea fleet

Once again, Ukraine has managed to damage ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. This information is reported by the German news website merkur.de, citing the Ukrainian portal Unian.

According to the report, a tugboat and the ship “Pavel Derzhavin” were hit. This was explained by Dmytro Pletentshuk, the spokesperson for the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Navy and a Captain of the 3rd rank. Two Russian ships, including the patrol ship “Pavel Derzhavin,” were reportedly damaged.

Furthermore, on October 13, 2023, the tugboat “Professor Nikolai Muru” was also hit and damaged. Pletentshuk remarked, “To put it in simple human terms: Pavel Derzhavin was a little sad, and as it turned out, Professor Nikolai Muru was also sad. Yesterday, it was, in a way, a real Friday the 13th for the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.”

“Pavel Derzhavin” was hit twice. “It was only the second time that it became clear to him that it was probably time to leave our Sevastopol,” said Pletentshuk.
