Weapon Delivery as a Response: ‘Putin Has Clearly Indicated Plans to Further Expand into Europe’

The US should continue to support Ukraine in its fight against Russia by supplying weapons. This was reported by Jason Jay Smart, correspondent of the Kyiv Post, on the short messaging service X, formerly known as Twitter.

In the relevant post, Smart writes: “If America fails Ukraine, it will be an error for which generations of Americans will pay. Putin has been clear that his intent is to expand further into Europe. America, due to its NATO commitments, will defend its allies & lives will be lost. Arm Ukraine now!”

According to statements by Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine does not expect support from its partners to diminish, as reported by the German news website n-tv.de. Kuleba emphasizes that the partners understand that there is much more at stake in Ukraine than just its own future. He expressed this conviction after talks with his Dutch counterpart Hanke Bruins Slot. Kuleba explains: “Therefore, I neither expect a slowdown nor a decrease in the attention or support that will come.” He clarifies that Ukraine will not be pressured into negotiations with Russia. Given the threat posed by Russian forces, Ukraine is heavily reliant on military and economic aid from the West.
