Alexei Kulemzin, the Russian-appointed mayor of Donetsk, has accused Ukraine of being responsible for the bombardment of the city of Donetsk. This reports the German news website tagesschau.de.
In a post on social media, Kulemzin wrote that three people died in the incident, according to Reuters news agency. Ten people were injured, including a boy born in 2012. Furthermore, he said, several buildings were affected in different parts of the city, including a bus stop, a hospital, a store and some residential buildings. Currently, his information can not be independently verified.
According to a report by the Russian news agency TASS, the city of Donetsk was shelled seven times by Ukrainian forces within a period of about an hour, as the German news platform n-tv.de announced. These attacks took place in the early morning hours last Tuesday in Petrovsky, Kirovsky, Kuibyshevsky and Kyivsky districts. Since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian forces have carried out a total of 24 attacks on the “Donetsk People’s Republic”, firing more than 80 shells.
