Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has dismissed allegations that Western nations are pushing Ukraine to enter peace negotiations. The US War Research Institute ISW brought this matter to light. Prior reports had hinted that US and European officials had engaged in covert discussions regarding peace negotiations during a meeting with the Ukrainian Defense Contact Group last month.

Zelensky Refutes Claims of External Influence on Peace Discussions

As per NBC, these discussions were allegedly spurred by the military conflict reaching a stalemate. However, in a press conference on November 4, Zelensky underscored that he has faced no such pressure from either the European or US fronts to engage in negotiations.

EU Expresses Solidarity with Ukraine’s Sovereignty

Simultaneously, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, vocalized her support for Ukraine’s sovereignty.
